Ever imagined a vast radiant place, full of people happily living together with no qualms? That is the picture of India, among the world circles, the potpourri of different cultures, castes and religions, but having a closer look at the history of India, leave alone, the pre-independent era, just a cursory inspection of the history of India from 1947-2011,makes it is quite evident that India has blood stains all over her clothes.People of this so called potpourri, make a cry, that it is always 'their' people who have always been targeted, be it the Hindus(sabarmati express),the Muslims(Gujarat), Christians(Orrisa) or the Sikhs(sikh riots) and with no apparent reason. We have always been and are still living in a 'democracy of hypocracy'
We have never been actually cured ourselves from this cancer, no rhetoric can defend that India is a country were all treat each other as 'brother and sisters'!It is sham, a pure lie, India is a country were people deep down their hearts have already made allegiance towards 'their' people, its like an unspoken pact, 'when time comes, you have to board the ship of 'your' people, else fucking rot and die in the fight'.
Now, after, reading, some of my fellow youths would be thinking in their mind that I'v picked up a cliche'd topic today, and today's youth are free from, this fanaticism.Think again, how many times have you made fun of a muslim friend for his circumcised penis or calling him a 'semi' terrorist, just for the 'heck' of it, or how many times have my muslim brothers spoken ill about Hindus, saying, they(Hindus) always 'have ulterior motives behind their friendship' or have mocked of some of the Hindu rituals. How many times have you made fun of a sikh guy for his turban in the name of, to be informally put in, 'mazak ke lia yaar', or a christian friend being mocked, for their God, came from a 'virgin' mother. Now, you get the pinch eh? Is India today a free from this religio-cancer?
When you are on this side, you just, say 'mazak kar raha tha'(i was kidding) but when your on the receiving end, suddenly you start feeling raped, exploited and 'hurt'. This is the biggest problem of India, not religion, but being hyper sensitive when it comes to religion, all the riots occur, because, the holy butchers sitting at Delhi, knows, how to press the 'pussy button', which can evoke a magnanimously mass hysteria among people.
Everybody, knows this reason, how politicians influence masses to fight against each other, countless people have identified this cause as reason to all the riots. but then, why are'nt we doing anything about it? Will we keep blaming the politicians for the rest of our life, like our fathers and their fathers did, or do something about it?
The first and the foremost thing we got to do is to destroy the 'pussy button' of hyper sensitivity towards religion with a big sledge-hammer. So what if a muslim cricketer(Shoiab Akhtar) calls Sachin a spineless player in his autobiography or an ignorant Hindu guy talking shit about Islam, just because few guys in Afghanistan are creating a havoc worldwide, does that make our GOD, inferior to anyone, is it a reason to get incited and pick up up arsenals to kill our brothers ans sisters, if so, well congratulations, you are very similar to your elders, be fucking obidient to them and follow their path, if not create an environment of chaos and destruction of this thinking, attitude and hyper-sensitivity towards religion, only then it would be possible for us to completely destroy the pussy-button of hyper-sensitivity towards religion, and stop these politicians from exploiting us.
Make, no mistake folks, this is the only way, to break away from this clutter of fanaticism and really cure India of this sad long fatal disease, we are country where more than half of the populations are 'youths', so we have the liberty to act like a bully and ask the dogmatic oldies, to 'shut the fuck up' and let us think on our own. Pick up the sledge-hammer and destroy that button inside you or else keep cribbing and let your children do it, because, India, will one day soon be free of this cancer, I'm atleast sure about it, because I trust the vision of my father of nation had for my country.
Get well soon Mammu :)
with love,
Jim.
